There was an opportunity to travel around Yogyakarta. With sister Mary CM we went to Taman Sari, which was used by the sultan and his princes. Also in this area the TMM monastary is located. We went inside and met with sister Faustina who studies in Jogja. After drinking and telling stories we entered the park. Many tourists from all over the world were there - also from Poland. We walked around and took dozens of photos because the place is good for photography. Sister Faustina knew the park well because she lived there.
Then we prayed at the TMM chapel. At 12:00 we prayed with Our Lady - Angelus Domini and breviary. Then we went to Malioboro Street for shopping. I wanted to buy souvenirs for friends in Taiwan. The sisters helped me choose souvenirs and bargain with sellers at the market. We also had lunch together at the Warung (a small restorant with traditional food). Food and beverage prices were not too high - IDR 100,000 for three people. Later we went to the post office and sent packages. The shipping is very expensive in Indonesia. The price of a scarf and fabric was approximately IDR 100,000 and the shipping was more than IDR 200,000. But there was no cheaper option.
After that I said good-bye to a sisters and traveled to the ADM monastery. There was a need for mass in English. So I spent the night there and said the morning mass for them. When we had breakfast cat and rat entered the dining room. The sisters were scared and screamed. Cat was very brave but could not kill the big rat. So just wanted to play with it. Therefore, we had an extraordinary performance. I returned to the SVD monastery and rest.
