Our Father
Today we meditate on the Lord's Prayer which Jesus taught his disciples. For sure we also have an experience of our own prayer.
The Lord's Prayer is a communal prayer which shows the relationship with the Father. It comes from the relationship with God as the source of our life. In this way we realize that the goal of human life is to glorify God.
Communion with God leads us to the relationship with others. First of all with the people who are sent by God to be part of our life.
When we focus on our call and mission, we start to pay more attention to the basic needs of our community, such as happiness, forgiveness and compassion.
Jesus teaches us the means to communicate with God his Father in a simple prayer. Thank you Jesus for the inheritance of prayer that you taught us. Hopefully by praying the Lord's Prayer we will better understand God's will for ourselves.
