Open ears of my heart!
"We played the pipe for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn" (Mt 11:17).
Sometimes I share this verse with the parents who are educating their children in this way, but there is no response and change. Can we realize how perents feel? Maybe they feel annoyed because they are running out of patience. Already trying hard, but there is no change. Or they feel sad because their children do not understand what they mean.
Change, growth or happiness are our choices. It's in our hands. God always offers his blessing and wants us to experience happiness. God offers, never forces. God is always patient with us. We are asked for openness to cooperate with God's grace.
Advent is a good time to check our responses for God every day?
"Do we joyfully dance along with the sound of the flute of God?" or we are not able to hear the sound of the flute clearly. Maybe something is blocking the ear of our heart.
Please Jesus, open ears of my heart!
Let's come to Jesus! Don't wait!
His invitation is valid all the time.
