Culture of Flores
From November 2018 I have been living in Indonesia. On Flores I learn Indonesian and have many new friends. Indonesians usually speak official language but also use local languages.
Flores Island is very beautiful. You can enjoy at the beach and admire the amazing views. Indonesian people are friendly and kind. Therefore, foreigners feel safe and joyful in Indonesia. Every day I learn something new from the people. There is variety of fruits and vegetables which are delicious. Obviously Asians like spicy and fried food, but in the Bajawa area there are also potatoes, tomatoes and cabbage. Three Europeans can get the similar products to the European cuisine.
Majority of Florenes people is Catholic. There are many churches, chapels and grottos where Chatholics pray and ask for the God's blessing and intercession of the Blessed Mother. Every Sunday children, young people and adults come to the church.
You can enjoy the culture, dances, traditional songs here. Clothes are also interesting and colorful. Always the key to the culture is language. So it's important to learn languages and practice speaking every day.
